The issue of Proposition 8 has the nation's gay and lesbian community taking to the streets in protest and to the courts for legal recourse. In California's election, Proposition 8 asked the question on whether the State should prohibit same-sex marriage. A great deal of advertising was generated from both sides of the argument. On the No on 8 side, California NAACP President Alice Huffman voiced commercials that told us that a Yes vote would amount to hate and discrimination. Those who campaigned for your Yes vote suggested that our schools were already teaching students about same sex marriage.
The expectation of most in the nation would be that the African American Community's vote would make or break the outcome. The proponents of No on 8 thought the community would recognize an affinity between their movement and the Civil Rights Movement. However, a lot of people are annoyed as the gay rights community parallels their struggle with that of the Civil Rights Movement. It's a moral matter, not a civil rights issue, they say. The gay community and those in support of the measure say to vote against gay marriage is hate and discrimination....
What do you think??? Comment below:
On election night, we were broadcasting live from the Magic Johnson TGI Friday's and Lon McQ, Tammi Mac, and Zenja Ricks observed the importance of the vote regarding Proposition 8. View the discussion here:

As a proud and out black lesbian, I do feel that the Black community as a whole is very homophobic! The Black church especially! They call themselves Christians, but preach hate over their pulpits. Black churches want our money, talents, etc., but want us to not be seen or heard. Nothing but hypocrites! What does two grown people being gay who love each other and want to be married have to do with straight people's marriage! Absolutly nothing! Get a grip black community! We just want equality and equal rights that all!
It is a morality issue, as a Christian I do not like the act, but do have love for all individuals. In addition, I feel that marriage as an institution by God should remain as a covenant between a man and woman only. However, if the courts are going to allow it, let it be called a something else (just as abortion is not called murder) or fit under the civil union laws (and even these are not accepted from state to state; so...). Yes, people have taken the context of marriage and committment to an unGodly status, but it was/is recognized by God.
Again, the United States Const. is based on LEGAL issues, not MORALITY issues as be Black church voted on Proposition 8. This is to be a seperation of church and state issued! If two grown people that happens to be gay, want to be married, they should be allow too!! What hetrosexuals do in their marriage is their business just like same-gender loving couples do in their marriage is their business!
I understand everyone should have the right to marry. I truly could care less what someone else does in their private life. However, I have a spiritual relationship with God. And in my heart the Lord loves all his children regardless what road they choose during their time here on earth. God loves us no matter what, however he hates the sin. And the sin is what separates us from Him. This sin, (whatever it may be) is brought on by Satan, who fools the masses, so they can stay separated from God.
Us straight people have already disgraced marriage, because of our lack of understanding of what marriage truly means in Gods eyes. Man did not create marriage, God did. It is a committment between a man and a women TO God. Marriage makes a promise to GOD, to love each other, with God as the head. And straight marriage has seriously missed the mark, and this is why we have such a high rate of divorce. Now we are about to allow man and man, women and women to further desrepect the Lords true intentions for marriage. In my honest opinion, the judicial system is sticking its finger in Gods eye, and telling Him man is going to have its way regardless how He feels about it. It really does not matter to me anymore, because I talk to God and we both know in the end everyone will have their judgement. And for those who purposely and forcefully made God deal with their sins, and not be ashamed or at least fear God in some kind of way, will have their time to answer for it.
I am straight. Have I ever sinned against God? Of course I have! Am I a supporter of prop. 8, yes. Am I a christian, Yes! Does that make me a homophobic, no! When I commit my sin, I hate it. I am ashamed because again, God is my father, and when you disappoint your father you are ashamed. AT least that is what I feel. Am I also human, yes I am. But that goes without to say, I love God and want to be pleasing in His eyes, and always strive to do that. I have never said my sins have to be excepted by God, because I am only human. That demeans my relationship with Him, and also minimizes his authority and power to change me to be a better person. I am a alcoholic, and been since I was a teenager. My grandmother was the same. I gave this up because it was not pleasing to me nor to God. It was a choice I had to make, same as wanting to be gay and use God creation of marriage as a relationship validation. Do what you want how you want, because in the end regardless how you feel about yourself or God you will have to answer to Him, especially for sticking your finger in his eye. I mean you want the right to union, go ahead, fight for the union but leave marriage alone, because that is Gods creation not mans.
Yes, God will judge each one of us for what we have done in this life! But, man judges us too! The Bible says, "Judge not that ye shall be judge..." I have been raised in the black church all of my entire life and as a church musician was asked to leave because I was GAY!!! Is that being Christian? Again, if I as a grown adult want to be married to my partner I should have that right! It all comes down to discrimination!! Equal means equality for everyone despite their sexual preferences! Straight people do not have the right to tell gay people that they can't be together! Only God can judge us black churches, not you!!!!
It is a moral issue and it should have never gone on the Ballet for voters to vote on. It is their choice to be with whomever they please. I don't care but for Gay and Lesbian's to say they struggled like my ancestors did is appalling to me. Civil Rights is about blacks not being given rights to vote, equal education etc , etc nothing about who one is or isn't having sex with. So Pro 8 should have been yes. Marriage is between a man and a women. Homosexuals do not need us the voters to validate them. That shows you somethings wrong with this whole picture think about. There is a law already in place for homsexual optain there lovers items if they died. Look it up do the reasearch and stop whinning. Prop 8 should stand if it is overturned again the vote does not mean anything why have voters vote if everytime it will be overturned. That's wrong.
I agree with you. No man should tell anyone not to be Gay. Its not in our place to tell anyone what to do with their life. And as for your church kicking you out because you are gay, was wrong. Us as a people have moved further and further away from God. We took out prayer, and now we are allowing our entire country to turn its back on God. You have people who hate God continously try to remove him from the sin. This is satan who's main purpose is to separate us from God. Yes, you may be gay but at some point you must ask God, "what is your will for me, lord?" NOt let it be your will done but His. WE have become so selfish in this life, and thats what saddens me the most. I cannot tell you what to do in your life, I just wish we wouldn't close God out, just to satisfy our own flesh.
I am a black Christian woman and have gay friends, but do i agree with what they are doing no. I have a problem with the fact that the homosexual community compares themselves to the struggle blacks have gone through. IT IS NOT THE SAME!!!! You look at me and can tell that I am black, but there is no way that i can look at a gay person and tell that they are gay. The decisions you make is ure business but that does not give them a right to force their sexual attractiveness on others. I also don't understand how they can sit there, go to church, and say that the church is wrong for disagreeing with them. Did we forget that the BIBLE, the most important book in the world, the book that the church is built in, calls homoesexuality an ABOMINATION TO GOD!!!! I just don't understand how that part is overlooked. Don't get me wrong, we all sin, nobody is perfect, but please fess up to your sins and stop trying to make people except it. If you want to be who you are, then be who you are, but we don't have to agree with it. You may not like this, but God made Eve as a companion, help mate, and wife for Adam, for a reason.
God bless you all!!!!
"It is a moral issue and it should have never gone on the Ballet for voters to vote on. It is their choice to be with whomever they please. You took the words right out of my mouth. Why go after marriage, if you have all the rights as a married couple. In my opinion, the going after marriage is to further try to make people think it is ok to be gay. But you cannot dish that to people who have a true spiritual relationship with God. It is a moral issue, and to tell people they must ignore that part of them is foolish, and down right selfish. You can have your civil union, and I agree no one should not tell you cannot have a civil union. But marriage as broken as it is today, is between a man and a women created by God.
If you are against Gay Marriage , don't marry a gay person .
The church is a hypocrite? So when you sat in church all them years did you ever read parts that states gay is, "ABOMINATION TO GOD."? So is the bible now a hypocrite and homophobic to gays? Leave the church out of it for a minute and answer why you go against the bible, and what does the bible mean to you, and what does God's position of being gay mean to you. I dare you to call God a homophobic and a hypocrite.
How about we pick another group of people and say lets get married? This is just a "group" of people. Is it not just a group of people like gang bangers, middle class, fraternity, gays? It is not an ethinicity. If this passes will Michael soon marry his Bubbles? Please do not compare my ethnic background or race to gays.
Just like it is not ok to marry your sister, brother, dad, or mother, its not ok to marry if you are not a man or women. If this gay marriage passes, pretty soon you will see people marry their family members, and maybe their pets. Then you will see gays, sueing the church because the preacher refuses to marry them. This is morally wrong, even Elton John said marriage was not necessary because you there is civil unions. He states, gays should fight to have a civil union but leave marriage to man and women. This is an attack of God, in my opinion. Because you have all the rights you need in order to be a couple and seen as a couple. To go after marriage is an upper cut on God.
Those of you who are Gay and believe in God. YOu may want to look upon all gays and their true intentions behind this marriage issue. You may be thinking you are fighting for your gays rights (which you already have) but find you were actually fighting with people who hate God, and want to throw their sin in his face. Be careful for what you stand for. It is your right to be gay, and you actually have all the rights as anyone else. But now your group is moving against something that was created by God. And you may be supporting a movement against God. Take a look, and make sure that is not what you are doing.
Majority of straight people are full of bull----! We do not want to marry our brothers, sisters, pets, etc. Get a good grip on the issue!! We want to marry our partners just like you marry your partner! Also, in the Bible it preached for slavery in which the white slaveowner put black people in bondage!
And the Bible also stated, "let my people go."
The Bible has absolutely nothing in it stating there should be gays. We might be slaves, but the Bible did not say let there be gays. Let man marry man, and women marry women. You are an ABOMINATION to God. Do not insult the Black race and our struggle as equal to your struggle. And try not to use the Bible as your defense because you are furthering your ABOMINATION to God. The Bible does not help you.
Yeah the Bible states about slaves, however it does not say let their be gays. Get a better argument. And the majority of gays are full of bullshyt. You guys are attacking God, and trying to use blacks struggle as your defense. People who use critical thinking knows, that is a bunch of bull, and you have no defense.
I am upset with all the people of CA. I am a military widow, to know that my husband died for this country that treats anybody different is wrong. Someone said the civil rights movement is not the same as what minority's went threw. I beg to differ. Can you imagine what the Caucasians were saying to themselves when the laws they put in place was being questioned. Why does a religion have to dictate what a person should be. This is my problem why must everyone in America live one way just because the bible says so. What you are saying is we should vote for the bible to run this country not government not freedom of choice God is not everyone's god, We as Americans should have laws that let everyone live how they choose. The government is not God's voice. To say yes to this law is to say God is law. We as a society are kidding ourselves to hate and hiding behind it's what god wants. On judgment day what can be said about where you will be if you were a judge in something that had nothing to do with you. Let Americans of all kinds make there own choices,no matter where you stand.
Whatever straight black hyprocrites!! God loves gay people despite whatever you say!! Like the previous person said, "If you are against gay marriage, don't marry a gay person!! THIS IS A LEGAL ISSUE, not a MORAL issue!! Get it right! If it was not for us in the black churches as your directors, musicians, members, choir members, and down-low preachers, YOU WOULD NOT HAVE A BLACK CHURCH!!
LIke I said before, it is an attack on God believers, and God himself. YOU HAVE THE SAME RIGHTS, WHAT RIGHTS DO YOU NOT HAVE? YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO COME TOGETHER AND REAP THE BENEFITS JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE. WHY PICK MARRIAGE? WHY NOT FIGHT FOR CIVIL UNIONS, SAME THING?
Until you can change people mind about their own morals, and get them to turn their back on "their God" you will continue to have this issue. You may think God should not have anything to do with the legal system, but it was what founded this country. This country was built on Christian views, and formed as such. But more and more we are seeing people turning away from God, and desrespecting His laws. One day the United States will come down, like every great nation who lose its way. And trust when that happen other nations will not except gays, because they are built on those same principles, "GOD"
In my opinion, gays would have a much easier chance if they change the name from "marriage" to "civil unions". That would actually separate God from the system. Because marriage was created by God, and since gays do not want to be dictated by God views or laws, then they can create their own institution of marriage and call it "Civil union" which would be treated just like marriage but carries the distinction of a gay marriage.
Is there a problem with that? If so, what exactly? I mean if you do not want to create your own institution of marriage but want to use the system that is in place for man and women, then what are the true motives?
You know I think that is a great idea. Leave the broken marriage for the straight people.
Gays then create their own institution of marriage but call it something else, showing that true distinction from the two. Or if you don't like the words "Civil Union" create your name for it. I think this would be special, and something the gays could be very proud of. I mean Elton John said the same thing, "leave broken marriage for the straight people" and create your own institution of marriage. Straight marriages may be able to learn something from civil unions, especially if they are more successful then straight marriages.
What do you think?
We spend so much energy looking at excuses to separate us, black, white, gay, straight,Jew, etc. We want to legislate marriage. Marriage should be based on two willing and able people regardless of gender, race and religion. The question is what can we do to undo Prop. 8, normally, California stands out front and leads the nation in how America lives. We cannot allow this law ro take us backward. I am a straight Black 52 man and and if non Christian white wants to marry Black Jew. I sould not sit in God's chair and to say, "NO."
You know that makes so much more since to me. Why fight for something that is broken anyway. Create something of your own. If God created marriage then leave it as it is, and create your own union. If the people see it called something different then most likely it will be accepted with no problems.
The majority of people do not have an issue with gays, I think its when they try to be part of something that was actually created by God. Calling it something different makes more since. For example, killing a fetus is "murder", but we call it abortion and people is more excepting of this murder.
Or when you see the word "used car" some think "lemon". But now they have changed "used car" to "previously owned." which changed peoples mind about the used car.
Yes, I except gays, but I also know how people react to new things. Sometimes calling it something different gets a better response. I voted no on prop 8. but I agree my friends in the gay community have a better chance and more respect if they just created their own institution of marriage and leave the traditional marriage as it is. It actually would satisfy everyone.
Let me ask the straight community a question: Did anyone prevent you from marrying your partner? So, why do you want to prevent gay people from marrying our partner? This again is a LEGAL ISSUE!! Not a MORAL ISSUE assholes!! If your marriage is solid, then you should not a problem with gay people geting married!!
The straight community is not trying to keep you from coming together, they are just trying to protect the institution of marriage created by God. Why not create your own marriage and call it something different, separating it from the Churches marriage? I dont understand the problem with that.
I think gays have this perception, that straight marriages feel threaten by them getting married. I dont feel threaten by you at all. But if you have such of a problem with God's law, then why not move to have marriage with a different new millenium name on it. Representing the gay community, and the gay marriage. Why take something that was not created originally for gays.
Protect the sancity of marriage by straight people? That is a bunch of bullshit!! Straight people have destroyed the instution of marriage by your divorce rates!! Let gay people have the right to decide if we want to get married too! Not the straight community telling us what to call our relationships!! AGAIN straight people this is a LEGAL ISSUE, not a MORAL ISSUE!!!
You can keep saying its not a moral issue. But it seems the moral issue is preventing you from getting married, and most likely will continue to keep you from getting married. So instead of bashing people for having morals, and continously separate yourself from them, I would consider looking for other ways to get around it.
Yes, use critical thinking and find a way to get around it, and still get what you want in the end. We can go all day long, but you will not nor can you change my mind.
Look, the bottom line is this. If you're gay, be gay. You'll answer for that when the time comes. You can preach against the bible all you want but it's never going to change. You can't have it both ways; "I want to marry my same sex partner but I want God to bless my union". It will NEVER happen. God does indeed love all of us, no matter what we do but he has also set up guidlines of how we should live our lives all the while knowing that we will fall short. Hence, his mercy and forgiveness. BUT, like any loving parent, he will only allow us to mess up so many times before chastising us. God created the institution of marriage to be between a man and a woman. It says so right in the beginning of the Bible. And until He sends down another version saying that He's changed his mind and thinks it's ok for same sex couples to even exist let alone marry, I'll vote Yes on Prop. 8 every time is shows up on the ballot. But I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for that updated version.
Oh, and to address the "discrimination" issue, are you serious?! You choose to let people know you're gay, African Americans don't have a choice in the matter.
You straight people are amazing!! You can get married not once but four and five times with different baby daddys and sit in the church all righteous and santified!! But, the Bible also teaches that YOU are not to marry again if YOUR husband or wife is still living!! Whats up straight people with your insitution of marriage!! We will allow the Courts to decide and we will win because you cannot put discrimination in our Consitution!!
If this was such a clear cut case of equality, then why did it go to vote and get defeated TWICE?! No one is trying to tell anyone not to be gay although in a perfect world, it wouldn't be necessary. Straight people in general don't care what gay people do behind closed doors, but apparently, it is enough of an issue that we were asked our opinion. And again, we said NO! You can argue a separation of church and state until you're blue in the face, but the answer will remain the same. So let it go, do your thing and be happy with the right you do have.
Straight people never said that we were perfect, but at least our marriages are sanctiioned by the Church, State and society in general. You might win a temporary victory in the courts because the judicial system has become so wimpy and afraid to stand up for what is truly right for fear of offending someone's sensibilities, but what the gay community is proposing will never stand for long. God still has the final say and He says that homosexuality is an ABOMINATION.
I don't preach hate. I am a minister of the Gospel in training and a woman that deals with people. One of the first souls I led to the Lord Jesus Christ was a young woman who had been sexually molested as a child, by her mother's man. It was an ongoing situation, for years, and her mother WOULD NOT SEE what was happening to her child, what this man she chose was doing to her child.
She told me, that she was gay because of that. When the steppappy was discovered, he told the mama, "your daughter is now going to be gay".
I prayed for this baby.
Most homosexuals and lesbians have been sexually tampered with, as young people, or that demonic spirit came in when their souls defenses were down.
You see, I KNOW that God's Wrath would fall if we passed that thing, that the homosexuals could marry and defy God's Edict.
Read about Sodom and Gommorrah in Genesis, and what happened when the men were sexually aggressive toward God's Angels and what happened.
Read Romans 1 about knowing the truth of God, but exchanging it for a lie, and being given over to unnatural sexual use.
This is not about civil rights.
This about forcing abomination down our throats, and voting or pressuring the judicial system to institutionalize sinful conduct.
We all need to repent.
For real. We don't know when God is going to get tired of us. See Genesis in Noah's time.
The institution of marriage is not that special, as seen in the divorce rate. Why try so hard to be a part of something that is obviously broken? Why not create your own marriage? That's what so confusing to me, which leads me to believe there is something else going on here. And the majority of gays may not understand the underlining agenda here. There is not an attack on the gay community, I know its not. In fact, this country has come a long way in accepting gay relationships. But to hijack marriage that was created by God (who you are ultimately against) baffles my mind. You scream rights, what kind of rights would you get in marriage, that you would not get in civil unions? Can someone answer that question for me? If you love each other, then it is your hearts who tells the truth not law. Nothing and no one can stop you from being with someone you love. Regardless if you are straight or gay. But for the love and the respect for others and their beliefs, why not look for ways that could satisfy everyone. You can scream foul on the straight people all day long. We are all entitled to our beliefs, and to separate us from you because we believe differently makes you just as guilty, and discrimintory. We are trying to find alternatives without disgracings our own beliefs and values. But you ask for us to ignore these things and give you what you want. Compromise, we have to compromise or we will get no where with this, and running the risk of a great divide and we do not need that right now.
Read Romans 1 about knowing the truth of God, but exchanging it for a lie, and being given over to unnatural sexual use.
Gosh, this is a very strong scripture for those who are christians but choose to be gay. You know the truth, but you will take the lie, and force feed us abomination.
God's law overrides mans law. You must understand some God believers believes this to the heart, and will not exchange it for nothing in the world, no matter how hard to you try to shove it to us. You are not coming up against a bunch of racist white folks, you are coming up against a people who follows God.
i think the voters have all ready spoken
I have friends who are gay and actually voted yes on prop 8. Because of the fear of God. They know marriage was created by God, and who are they to stick their finger in his eye. They already have to deal with the decisions they have made, no need to go throw in the kitchen sink.
Love the sinner, hate the sin...this is what my Bible has taught me. No I don't believe it is right for two men/women to be together but that is my right to feel that way as it is theirs to live the way they do. Nothing that anyone in the gay/lesbian community can do, including having what I would call "A Commitment Ceremony", could make our Heavenly Father or the Holy Spirit anymore grieved than straight people have by LIVING IN SING ~ TOTALLY DISMISSING/BY-PASSING MARRIAGE & DEFILING THE BED ALREADY. I found in the Bible in several books where homosexuality is an abomination, unnatural, going against the way GOD intended the sexual union between two people to be but am I here to judge? NO! I too have done, & still do, some things that I know I need to change but it has to be me that changes. I guess my biggest problem with Prop 8 is the fact that now, along with the gay/straight alliance clubs already implemented/in place in the school system, it will be part of the curriculum to teach my grandchildren. Why does this bother me? Because we are no longer "allowed" to pray openly in school ~ we are not "allowed" to teach creation ~ but we are however "permitted" to teach evolution, homosexuality or pardon me "alternative lifestyles" etc. I also have a major problem with people comparing the gay community's struggle to the black peoples struggle. While you may or may not have civil rights issue, NO ONE EVER SNATCHED YOU FROM HOMOSEXUAL LAND (THE CLOSET)~ DRUG YOU TO HETEROSEXUAL LAND ~ MADE YOU WORK AGAINST YOUR WILL TO SERVE THE HETEROSEXUALS ETC ~ DENIED YOU THE RIGHT TO LEARN ETC. This is one of those situations where we really have to learn to agree to disagree. Oh yeah one other point I need to make; just because a person does not believe that lifestyle is right doesn't make them "homophobic" - it just means they have an opinion that differs from yours and they are entitled to believe/live the way they choose just as you. To Proud & out black lesbian ~ HOW PROUD ARE YOU REALLY IF YOU POSTED YOU COMMENT ANONYMOUSLY?
LOL That was funny!Drug you out from homosexual land! ha ha
Saint Louis, you put it perfectly and summed it up in a nutshell. It is common knowledge that a good number of gays and lesbians were abused in some way and never got help. Hence, their twisted way of viewing life and relationships. This was never about hate for most of us; it's about doing what's right in the eyes of God. When will the G & L community accept that their way of life is unnatural and against what God mandates? If you look at the average same sex couple, one of them is in the "male" role, the other in the "female" role. Now, what does that say? That they're fighting against the natural order of things but trying to make it seem right by screaming for equality and crying out for their "rights". Spare me!
I am having a hard time posted my comments on kjlhradio.blogspot.com:
So here are my thoughts:
I voted no on Prop 8.... Men and women should have the right to married no matter if they are labled as a homosexual or as a heterosexual... People use the Bible when they want to and when they feel like it...So, what is the big difference??? Sin is sin... No one sins are better or less than another person's sin... More importantly, people repeat their sins more times than one may know... So, I rebuttal anyone that use the Bible to express their concerns on Prop 8... If you sin, then don't cast the stone...
I want to see men and women in America to set the standards on liberty and free will... We have set the pace for free speech; abolish slavery; voted for the 1st African American President; and so much more... I hope we, the American People, can keep setting the pace for other countries to follow...I hope everyone has the same rights -- no matter your sexual preferences -- I believe that marriage should be for everyone... Thanks :)
The person who agrees w/St Louis gets a round of applause from me for pointing out how in same sex unions one takes on the "male" role & the other the "female" role. I ask my gay friends all the time why the "role playing" if what you're doing is so natural? You say you don't want any parts of a man but find the roughest chick in town & have her wear a "strap on" to give the illusion you are with a man in bed. Now I ask you ~ WHAT'S UP WITH THAT?!
Its called perversion, and twisted of the mind.
I have a question; if gays and lesbians are so convinced that their "marriages" or unions are so much better or less "broken" than heterosexuals, then why do they have a much higher rate of domestic violence in their relationships? Could it be that all that fighting against nature makes them angrier people? This information came from a friend of mine who dabbled in the lesbian lifestyle for awhile and she saw it firsthand.
You straight person need to check your facts first about domestic violence!! There is more domestic violence in the straight community than ever before!! "Judge not that ye be judged." As a gay person you cannot make me think that I have to be with a man when that is not what I want or desire! Every gay person is not made gay by being abused! So get your facts straight! God created me gay just like He created you straight!! Hello!!
"God created me gay just like He created you straight!! Hello!!"
Do you seriously believe that He would "create" something and later call it an Abomination? I don't think so. He is too good and merciful to purposely place even a small fraction of His children in a position to cause them discomfort. The lifestyle (and that's what it is, a lifestyle) you live is a CHOICE. You have CHOSEN to believe that you can't live any other way and so you continue to live in direct conflict with what God dictates. If He "created" you this way, then why is there a closet for you to come out of? We straight people don't have to hide that we are straight. And the reason that there seems to be more domestic violence in the heterosexual community is because it is reported in the mainstream media. But I got my info from friends who have lived the "lifestyle" and witnessed it firsthand. And just so you know, this is not a judgement call; it's in agreement with the God I follow. He said it's wrong and I have no CHOICE but to obey his word to the best of my ability.
Whatever silly straight person!! How many times have you been married? I bet you have been married more than once and say that God upholds you being divorce?? How many gay people have you directly spoken to about domestic violence? So, whomever you talked to was in the "lifestyle" for a moment do not know what they are talking about! And I am not an "abomination" because God created me and God does not make junk like you straight people think!
"Whatever silly straight person!! How many times have you been married? I bet you have been married more than once and say that God upholds you being divorce??"
Well, it seems that I've struck a nerve! And here I thought this was a forum for people to express their thoughts and opinions in an adult manner.
First, in answer to your question, I've only been married once. But why should that even be in question? I didn't have to get permission from the voters to do it and if you've read your Bible with any kind of comprehension, you will find that God does allow for divorce in certain situations so that argument is blown out of the water.
Secondly, I never said that you were junk; in fact I stated that you were a Child of God just like all of the rest of us. But what sets you apart is your stubborn belief that God "created" you gay. Your practice of the gay lifestyle is the abomination in the sight of God. Perhaps before you blindly attack another person's opinion, you will take the time to fully comprehend what that person is trying to express to you.
Thirdly, trust and believe that I have enough gay friends (who by the way know how I feel about their lifestyle but we remain friends because we respect each other's right to differ) to know that there is just as much if not more domestic violence going on in their community as there is in ours. So, you can continue to walk around with blinders on if you like, but it won't change the truth.
Again, straight person! This is a LEGAL ISSUE AND NOT A MORAL ISSUE and will be decided in the court of law to prevent discrimination put in the Constitution! So what you have said does not and will not amount to a hill of beans! Discrimination is just what Proposition 8 was and we who are gay will be the victors! Enough said!
Have they explored expanding the civil union law? While I do beleive they should not be discriminated against for their sexual orientation it is not a "Civil Right" issue. My gay black friends still do not receive the same treatment as white gay or lesbians. Until they do, it is not a civil rights issue. I will support expanding the civil union law so they can have the same treatment as married couples. The proposition did not pass for a number of reasons and I take offense to those making it a black issue. Many other states with low black poputlation did not pass initiatives of this source.
I suppose you could call it a legal issue since morals escape you. Yes, you may get a minute victory in the court system for a hot second just like you did a few months ago, but the issue will come up for vote again and once again get defeated. You can argue for your right to live a deviant lifestyle and call it marriage all you want but it will still never be fully accepted in society. And to try and compare what African Americans have gone through with what you choose to live through is ridiculous. Now, enough said!
To Gay people,
Your are living in confusion.
1. God created marriage for man and woman. I don't know any other religion that accepts gay marriage or even the gay lifestyle.
2. Two Men can not reproduce and Two Women can not reproduce. This the reason you have to find donors so that you can have a baby or even have to adopt.
3. Order has been established by God. Man is to lead his household. Man is the Head, Woman is to be submissive. If a man get married to another man, there are two heads, who will be doing the leading? You can have two heads in the household, that is destine to be TROUBLE. And Women, you both are to be submissive to your husbands, so how can a wife lead another wife and another be submissive. CONFUSION.
4. This is not a Civil issue. Do NOT compare your struggle with being part of race. You choose to be the way you are. If we were to cross paths, you will know that I am BLACK and I would NEVER know that you are gay. Please find another argument.
5. Why are you gay people are always angry. You guys are always angry and defensive. Why are you so unhappy!!!
6. Another thing, I am so TIRED of you pushing your sinful lifestyle on everyone. Again, I don't know you are gay until you tell me-
I truly believe what one person has written on this board about, the wrath of God and another about if we will allow this to pass, then people will try to marry their animals, even their relatives. I mean they are all preference.
As a gay person, I am not angry. I get angry when straight people continually tell gay people you are a deviant! Who are you to tell us we are deviant! There are many, many straight marriages where they do not procreate but have to adopt children as well. So get another argument. It is time to put to rest about women being submissive to men in marriage. Marriage is suppose to be EQUAL, not about domination! Two people that are GAY do not try to be dominate over each other as you stated. So get your facts straight!
Ok, so you think God made you gay? What about the child molestor? Many of molestors feel their desires cannot be controlled and born that way. Something in them is broken, and for some sick reason they find pleasure in having sex with small kids. Same thing happens to a man or women who are sex addicts. Something is broken, which causes their own flesh to override their own moral beliefs. This is common and God states it in the Bible many many times. We must gain control over our flesh. In my opinion, gay is no different. Your desires are controlling you. You are a prisoner in your own body. God talks about how powerful the flesh can be, and how we must fight with our flesh on a daily basis.
The child molestor have the same desires as a gay. It is a impulse, there is no cure. So there may be a day, society will have to fight against adults marrying children. The difference between the two is, it is illegal to have sex with a minor (child) and it is not illegal to have sex with the same sex.
Its so sad, the gays cannot see that they have given into the powers of their bodies. When God returns what will you say? When he looks at you and ask, why? Not only why, but why did you take something I created for man and women, and defile it?
And everyone on this blog, please understand all gays who are on here tell you to f*** off, they will get their marriage, do not believe in God. Most likely they feel he is a figment of our imaginations. So arguing with those gays who do not believe in God, is hopeless. They will never understand your morals or spiritual beliefs. However, there are gays who do believe in God. So there sin is way greater then the average gay, because they know better. So they purposely defy God.
I also am a Christian. The bible is my guide for living if I profess to be a Christian. In it it speaks of what Marriage should be and with whom it should be. I don't have a problem with others if they choose to live the life they choose to live. However, I cannot vote for something that tells me to conform to the world and not live by God's standards. The Bible also tells us that God loves the sinner but hates the sin. We do love all! but I have to disagree with the sin. I cannot call myself a Christian if I am advocating what the world wants and not what God wants. This does not make us Hipocrits nor does it mean we preach hate or are homophobic. It means our God has challenged us to a certain way of living and that is how we live. We are not passing judgment on those who choose the life style of being Lesibian/Gay. The Bible says not everyone will be saved. I have friends who choose to live the life but that is their choice. I can tell them what the word of God says in love and they choose to except or reject. I don't beat anyone over the head or try to argue them to God. I love all people because God loves me and all people. It is just as if a friend were on drugs. It does not mean I love them any less. But it does mean I dislike what they are doing to themselves. So I cannot conform to what the world wants. Jesus said render to ceasar what is ceasar's and to God what is God's. I wish the Gay/Lesibian community all of the best and I have much love for you all. But I cannot conform to the worlds standards. Even with my children I let them know if that is the way they choose to go I won't love them any less, however, I do let them know if they are Christians what God says. They have to choose. That is why God gives us Free will. Peace to you all and Blessings.
Marriage is between a man and a woman period. The Black church is not responsible for Prop 8 being overturned, God is. He reigns, He is supreme and He is sovereign. What He says in His Word stands. Christians were not the only people who voted YES on 8, but people who simply believe marriage is between a MAN and a WOMAN. The devil is a master illusionist and makes wrong look right. But do know that the devil can never and will never defeat God.
First, do not ever compare gay people to child molesters!! Check your facts first and it will show you that majority of child molesters are straight men!! Get it right! Secondly, my relationship with God as a gay woman is intact!! When I do see God it will be hallelujah!! Straight people need to stop telling gay people that we are going to Hell! You are not our judge but God is and you do not have a heaven or hell to put us in! Get over it! We here and we are going to get our rights!
"Secondly, my relationship with God as a gay woman is intact!! When I do see God it will be hallelujah!!"
Are you sure about that? Because if you read and truly comprehend your bible, then you will know that the only way that will happen is if you repent and stop living against His word. Straight people aren't judging you; we are simply reiterating what God's word says and not condoning a deviant lifestyle. What gays and lesbians keep failing to realize is that while we ALL fall short and are prone to sin, straight people will ask forgiveness and try to the best of our ability not to sin again. Do G & L's ask for forgiveness for blatantly disobeying God's word and live life as He intended? Obviously not, because we continue to be bombarded with their arguments that their way of life is right and they should be afforded all of the benefits of a straight couple. You can't have it both ways; you can't say that you worship and hopefully, fear God, yet continue to spit in his face with your endorsement of a gay lifestyle. Your community keeps insisting that this is a legal issue; in a way, that's true because the issue was heard in a court of law, so ok, you get that. But when asked for the SECOND time if this type behavior should be condoned, the answer was a resounding NO! And do you want to know why? It's because there are more people with morals willing to take a stand against spiritual degradation than their are people who feel as though God's law is invalid. So you can continue to march and protest for as long as your legs will carry you, but in the end, the word of God will prevail.
And if you want to be perfectly honest about this whole thing, you put yourselves in your own private hell when you decided to live the lifestyle you live. How happy can you be if you have to ask an entire nation if you can marry? How can you think that your way of living is right when there are so many of you STILL in the "closet" or living on the DL? No, straight people don't have a heaven or hell to put you in and personally, I wouldn't want that responsibility. But, since you are "here and will get your rights", I and others like me will be here to oppose you.
The reason why sooo many black gay people are "down-low" and "in the closet" is because of the rampant attitudes such as yours in the black straight community! You call us names; beat us down because we are not straight!! Please give me a break!! Just because we do not want or desire what straight people desire! This is the main reason why we start our own churches and worship God in our own way! Again, "judge not that ye shall be judge!"
I am going to compare gay people to child molestors, because both are dealing with the sickness of the mind. As well as a straight person who has a sexual obsessions. It is a flaw in the brain. Gays have conformed to their flesh. And if you read or hear gays defend themselves, you will hear a very selfish individual who is here to live only for themselves. Just like the people in Sodom and Gomorrah.
Sodom and Gomorrah have been used as metaphors for sinfulness and sexual deviation. The story has therefore given rise to words in several languages, including the English word "sodomy", a term used today predominantly in law (derived from traditional Christian usage) to describe non-vaginal intercourse, as well as bestiality.
There are two prevailing views of the sin of Sodom in Christian thought. One is that the destruction of Sodom was due to inhospitality, as illustrated by the gifts of God to Abraham for his gracious action, contrasted with consequences of the behavior of the city's inhabitants. First we see hospitality and the way we should act, then inhospitality in that the people of Sodom seek to mistreat the newcomers. The second view is that the cities were destroyed because of the widespread practices of sodomy.
Christian scholars and clerics often have disagreements about the meaning of specific texts, with the writings on Sodom and Gomorrah being no different. The latter view, while being the most common in modern times, is actually the least historical. The word, "sodomy" which first appeared in the 17th century KJV was then used simply to mean wickedness. Modern scholars in favor of the "homosexuality" theory point to two major parts of the Bible;
First, "to know" is a Biblical term for sexual behavior in this context. This is also understood as Lot offers his 'virgin' daughters to the men at the door instead of the visiting men. Thus,
And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where [are] the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.
—Genesis 19:5
is interpreted as a militant solicitation for homosexual sex. Second, they argue that homosexuality is the "strange flesh" mentioned in the following passage,
Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
In Islamic tradition, the nephew of Ibrahim (Abraham) is known as Lut (Arabic: لوط ) and was a prophet. According to the Qur'an, Lot was sent as a prophet to warn his people (that is, the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah) to turn from their evil acts. The story appears in the sura Hud, the 11th chapter of the Qur'an; the major focus of Hud is stories of prophets sent to warn their countries to worship only God, and God punishing the nations afterward.
The Qu'ran does not go into great detail about Lot's people, assuming that readers are familiar with the background story. Lot offers them his daughters, but they respond with disinterest and say that Lot "knows what we want." Combined with the Biblical account, the Islamic Sodom and Gomorrah also is referring to homosexuality and homosexual rape. The full account as translated by Abdullah Yusuf Ali:[3]
74 When fear had passed from (the mind of) Abraham and the glad tidings had reached him, he began to plead with us for Lut's people.
75 For Abraham was, without doubt, forbearing (of faults), compassionate, and given to look to Allah.
76 Abraham! Seek not this. The decree of thy Lord hath gone forth: for them there cometh a penalty that cannot be turned back!
77 When Our messengers came to Lut, he was grieved on their account and felt himself powerless (to protect) them. He said: "This is a distressful day."
78 And his people came rushing towards him, and they had been long in the habit of practising abominations. He said: "O my people! Here are my daughters: they are purer for you (if ye marry)! Now fear Allah, and cover me not with shame about my guests! Is there not among you a single right-minded man?"
79 They said: "Well dost thou know we have no need of thy daughters: indeed thou knowest quite well what we want!"
80 He said: "Would that I had power to suppress you or that I could betake myself to some powerful support."
81 (The Messengers) said: "O Lut! We are Messengers from thy Lord! By no means shall they reach thee! now travel with thy family while yet a part of the night remains, and let not any of you look back: but thy wife (will remain behind): To her will happen what happens to the people. Morning is their time appointed: Is not the morning nigh?"
82 When Our Decree issued, We turned (the cities) upside down, and rained down on them brimstones hard as baked clay, spread, layer on layer,-
83 Marked as from thy Lord: Nor are they ever far from those who do wrong!
The major difference between the Islamic view of Lot and the Biblical version of Lot is that the Bible includes later stories of Lot's incestuous relationship with his daughters, which are implicitly denied in Islam. Since Lot is referred to as a prophet of God,[4] and Islamic prophets are considered to never break God's law, Lot would not have had such an incestuous relationship.
Some scholars of Islam[who?] consider Lot's offer of his daughters to the people as an offering women in general to the men, and not only his daughters.
The Catholic Church and, later, Protestant authorities have traditionally condemned same-sex sexual relations, namely, "man lying with man as one lies with a woman" and men "burning with lust toward one another." Where the Catholic view is founded on a natural law argument informed by scripture, the Protestant view is based more directly upon scripture. Certain scriptures within the Bible, as in Leviticus, declare same-sex sexual relations between men as sinful and, in the eyes of God, an "abomination". In the Epistle to the Romans, Paul describes "men, leaving the natural use of the woman, [burning] in their lust one toward another" as a consequence or punishment for the sin of idolatry.
Conservative Christians also see homosexual relationships as an impediment to heterosexual relationships. They interpret some Biblical passages to be commandments to be heterosexually married such as "Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh"(Genesis 2:24) and "Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord"(1 Cointhians 11:11).[2] A number of gay Christians have reported satisfaction in their heterosexual marriages.[3][4][5]
Denunciation of homosexuality is also seen in surviving early Christian writings; such as in the Didache and the writings of Justin Martyr, Clement of Alexandria, Tertullian, St. Cyprian, Eusebius, St. Basil the Great, St. John Chrysostom, St. Augustine of Hippo, and in doctrinal sources such as the Apostolic Constitutions — for example, Eusebius of Caesarea's statement which condemns "the union of women with women and men with men.” Many prominent Christian theologians have been critical of homosexuality throughout the religion's history. Thomas Aquinas denounced sodomy as second only to bestiality as the worst of all sexual sins, and Hildegard of Bingen's book Scivias, which was officially approved by Pope Eugene III, condemned sexual relations between women as "perverted forms."
In the 20th and 21st century, a few historians and theologians have challenged the traditional understanding and argue that passages have been mistranslated or that they do not refer to what we understand as "homosexuality."[6]
The Roman Catholic Church, on the other hand, affirms early Christian teachings on homosexuality: "Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity, tradition has always declared that 'homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered.' They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved." [7]
The Catholic Church requires people struggling with homosexuality to practice chastity. It insists that the only appropriate expression of sexuality is within the context of marriage, which by definition is permanent, procreative, heterosexual, and monogamous. The Church acknowledges that homosexuality can be "a trial" and stresses that people with such tendencies "must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity."[8] In reference to the possible ordination of homosexuals to the priesthood, distinguishing between "deep-seated homosexual tendencies" and those that are "only the expression of a transitory problem", the Vatican requires that any homosexual tendencies "must be clearly overcome at least three years before ordination to the diaconate."[9]
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints makes clear that same-gender attraction is not sinful and no one should be blamed for it, but that a few people have been able to overcome it.[10] However, it considers homoerotic thoughts, feelings and behaviors to be a problem that everyone can and should overcome.[11] Homosexual activity is considered a serious sin on par or greater than other sexual activity outside of a legal, heterosexual marriage and those involved may be excommunicated.[10]
Conservative evangelical Christians generally maintain a harsh view of homosexuality. Richard Land, the head of the public policy board of the Southern Baptist Convention, claims that the "radical homosexual agenda" is one of "America's Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse."[12] Even among denominations that proclaim homosexuality to be sinful, there is usually an official policy of "love the sinner, hate the sin."
Notice to the straight black community: You can preach and hate and argue with the gay community about changing to be straight all you want and all day long, but we will be gay! You cannot make us straight LIKE YOU because this is not who we are! Telling gay people to practice chasity, please give us a break! Do you tell straight people to practice chasity, hell no! Lets put it like this: Just because a straight woman or man want to be with each other does not make a gay woman or man want the SAME THING AS STRAIGHT PEOPLE want. When it comes down to it, it is between God and that gay peerson or straight person. Not society telling gay people what we should be or who we should be with because it is the "straight or your way is the "right way! It will never, never work straight people!! This is who we are and who we will be!! Get over it and stop trying to tell us to be "straight!!
In the Name of Allah
The Jesus of the Bible is said to have
submittedto The Father (God) thusly:
"Not my will, butTHY (God;s) WILL be
done!" So it is, so it shall be, though
the disbelievers be averse.
Q. You said that sexua1 intercourse outside of marriage is condemned in the Bible. How do you explain marriage ceremonies in which two persons of the same sex are united by an officiating clergyman or justice of the peace?
There are cases on record where a marriage license was issued to persons of the same sex. I recall one such incident in Phoenix, Arizona. A marriage license was issued in the Maricopa County clerk's office to two men 39 and 21 years old respectively. The two men are reported to have "married" in a private ceremony.
However, to call a union of two persons of the same sex a "marriage" is a misnomer. In the Bible, marriage is a divinely ordered institution designed to form a permanent union between one man and one woman for one purpose (among others) of procreating or propagating the human race. That was God's order in the first of such unions (Genesis 1:27, 28; 2:24; Matthew 19:5). If, in His original creation of humans, God had created two persons of the same sex, there would not be a human race in existence today. The whole idea of two persons of the same sex marrying is absurd, unsound, ridiculously unreasonable, stupid. A clergyman might bless a homosexual marriage but God won't.
Q. Are there other Scriptures in the New Testament which deal with homosexuality?
Yes. Romans 1:24-27; I Timothy 1:10 and Jude 7. If one takes these Scriptures seriously, homosexuality will be recognized as an evil. The Romans passage is unmistakably clear. Paul attributes the moral depravity of men and women to their rejection of "the truth of God" (1:25). They refused "to retain God in their knowledge" (1:28), thereby dethroning God and deifying themselves. The Old Testament had clearly condemned homosexuality but in Paul's day there were those persons who rejected its teaching. Because of their rejection of God's commands He punished their sin by delivering them over to it.
The philosophy of substituting God's Word with one's own reasoning commenced with Satan. He introduced it at the outset of the human race by suggesting to Eve that she ignore God's orders, assuring her that in so doing she would become like God with the power to discern good and evil (Genesis 3:1-5). That was Satan's big lie. Paul said that when any person rejects God's truth, his mind becomes "reprobate," meaning perverted, void of sound judgment. The perverted mind, having rejected God's truth, is not capable of discerning good and evil.
In Romans 1:26-31 twenty-three punishable sins are listed with homosexuality leading the list. Paul wrote, "For this cause God gave them up into vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet" (Romans 1:26, 27). These verses are telling us that homosexuals suffer in their body and personality the inevitable consequences of their wrong doing. Notice that the behaviour of the homosexual is described as a "vile affection" (1:26). The Greek word translated "vile" (atimia) means filthy, dirty, evil, dishonourable. The word "affection" in Greek is pathos, used by the Greeks of either a good or bad desire. Here in the context of Romans it is used in a bad sense. The "vile affection" is a degrading passion, a shameful lust. Both the desire (lusting after) and the act of homosexuality are condemned in the Bible as sin.
I read in a periodical that in June, 1963 a panel of specialists in medicine, psychiatry, law, sociology and theology participated in a conference on homosexuality called by the Swiss Evangelical Church Union. That group reached the conclusion that homosexuality is not constitutionally inherited, it is not a part of one's genetic makeup. The ill-founded and unverifiable myth that homosexuality results from genetic causes is gradually fading away.
There are possibly a number of different ways in which homosexual practices could begin. When boys and girls reach puberty and the genital organs develop, it is not uncommon for boys to experiment with boys, and girls with girls. In prisons where men and women are denied access to persons of the opposite sex for long periods of time, some are introduced to homosexuality for the first time.
A young Christian woman came to our office in Detroit for counseling. She became involved in lesbianism when her marriage began to fail. She was introduced to her first homosexual experience by a divorcee who was her neighbor. After six months of practicing lesbianism she was convicted of her sin and sought help. We were able to show her from the Bible that she was sinning and that God stood ready and willing to forgive and cleanse her. She confessed and forsook her sin, and continues to this day to live a happy, normal Christian life.
Homosexuality must be accepted for what God says it is-- sin. Some homosexuals will attempt to circumvent the plain teaching of the Bible with the insipid reply that they are the way God made them. There is not the slightest bit of evidence in Scripture to support this false concept. God never created man with a so-called "homosexual need." No baby is born a homosexual. Every baby is born male or female. In every place the Bible refers to homosexuality, the emphasis is upon the perversion of sexuality. The practicing homosexual is guilty of "leaving the natural use of the woman" (Romans 1:27), meaning that his behaviour is "against nature" as in the case of the lesbian (Romans 1:26). Inasmuch as homosexuality is opposed to the regular law and order of nature, the genetic concept must be ruled out completely. If homosexuality were a genetic problem, there would be little hope for the homosexual simply because there is no way that the genes in a person can be changed.
Under the present laws of California, homosexuals have more rights then heterosexuals. Discrimination, and hate against homosexuals is absolutely wrong, and should not be condoned. Hate should never be preached, but love and tolerance should be, but the scriptures say marriage is between a man and a woman in order to have children. Legalizing marriage between same sex negates the purpose of a man and/or a woman in a family structure. It isn't a civil right to recognize same sex marriage, otherwise it could also be said that it is a man's civil rights to have two wives, or a woman's civil right to have two husbands. Where do you draw the line? Teachers were being told they had to start teaching homosexual marriage starting in the kindergarden grade. Only 3% of any society is homosexual: therefore less then 3% are in California. Teach homosexuality in the 6th or 7th grade should be ok, but not in the lower grades.
This is a heated topic for both issues.
People want to get moral, and religious about what's going on as far as this topic is concerned.
Marriage doesn't change just because two people of the same sex want to partake in it.
It's not costing us anything or taken anything away from us. Some of us who are in heterosexual marriages can't handle what marriage is really all about.
Gays and Lesbians already partake in long term relatioships, living together, having and adopting children so why is marriage such a big deal for those of us who aren't in the mist of these relatioships.
We as people don't want others in our marriage relationships so why are we trying to get into gays and lesbians.
We all share the same issues and problems so the only difference between us is our choosing in partners.
It's hard enough as a black and all the struggles we've had to fight for; does this issue really need to be another struggle for us.
None of us are perfect and we all sin and none of us should be judged and that includes not being judged for the relationships we choose to be in.
We all have our own different ways of finding and falling in love, does it really matter who it is as long as we are happy.
I'm a straight woman who has been married for 20 years and I personally don't have an issuse with Gays and Lesbians getting married.
We all deserve a piece of the pie and if it wasn't for our ancestors who died and endured the fight we wouldn't be as far as we are now.
So lets just let love rule and allow people to be happy with whom ever they choose
OMG! FOR THE LIFE OF GOD. THE PEOPLE ARE NOT TRYING TO MAKE HOMOSEXUALS STRAIGHT!! HOMOSEXUALS ARE NOT GAY (HAPPY) THEY ARE JUST THE OPPOSITE, ANGRY!!
I AM READING THE POST AND I DO NOT SEE ANYONE HERE TRYING TO MAKE HOMESEXUALS STRAIGHT. WE DO NOT AGREE WITH THE MARRIAGE PART BECAUSE IT DEALS WITH SOMETHING GOD CREATED, NOT MAN!! GOD CREATED MARRIAGE, NOT MAN!! YOU DO NOT WANT GOD INVOLVED, BUT YOU WANT TO TAKE SOMETHING HE CREATED AND DEFILE IT. GIVE ME A BREAK, YOUR ARGUMENTS ARE WEAK, AND MAKES NO SENSE. AND SENSE IT DOES NOT MAKE SENSE IT IS THE WORK OF THE DEVIL TRYING TO FOOL THE MASSES. BUT THERE ARE A LOT OF GODS CHILDREN WHO SEE RIGHT THROUGH THIS EVIL. PEOPLE YOU CAN SIT HERE ALL DAY LONG AND TRY TO EXPLAIN YOUR SPIRITUAL POSITION TO A HOMOSEXUAL, BUT REMEMBER GOD'S CURSE TO THE HOMESEXUAL WAS TO HAND HIM OVER TO IT. SO ALL HOMOSEXUALS HAVE BEEN GIVEN OVER TO THEIR SIN AND SEPARATED FROM GOD. THAT IS WHY THEY DO NOT HEAR HIM NOR HEED TO HIM. GOD HAS TURNED THEM OVER TO THEIR BODIES, ALLOWING THEIR LUSTS AND FLESH THEIR RULER, NOT GOD.
